The Fisheries Information System Hub is the Michigan DNR's central platform for managing commercial fisheries data — supporting electronic reporting, harvest verification, and data management across the state's commercial, charter, and wholesale fishing sectors. The DNR has been moving from paper-based to electronic reporting to improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, and enforcement capabilities. I supported platform modernization work to improve the usability of these data workflows for both internal DNR staff and the fisheries operators who rely on the system to report activity and meet regulatory requirements.
